Adfinis has appointed Felix Kronlage-Dammers as Country Manager of its German business, changing the leadership of Adfinis in Germany.

He has taken charge of the strategic direction, team development and operational growth of the company's German unit, Adfinis GmbH.

The appointment follows a management change, with Ralf Scharly and Sascha Zimmer no longer serving in operational roles. Both joined in 2023 to help establish the German entity and have now left their positions as Managing Directors.

Client commitments, ongoing projects and service delivery will continue through Adfinis's sales and delivery teams across the DACH region under the new structure.

German leadership

The company, which focuses on open source IT services, described Germany as an important market within its wider European operations. The German unit is part of a broader group structure that Adfinis is aligning more closely across borders.

This comes as businesses in Europe place greater emphasis on digital sovereignty, vendor-neutral infrastructure and tighter control over data. Organisations are increasingly seeking open standards, transparent practices and cross-border collaboration when choosing IT partners.

Kronlage-Dammers joins with more than two decades of experience in open source infrastructure and cloud technology. His previous roles include co-founding and managing bytemine, serving as Managing Director and Chief Operating Officer at gridscale, and contributing to industry initiatives including the Forum Sovereign Cloud Stack Standards and the board of the Open Source Business Alliance.

He also continues to serve as a Member of the Extended Board of Directors at the Open Source Business Alliance.

Commenting on his appointment, Kronlage-Dammers said: "Joining Adfinis at this pivotal moment is an incredible opportunity. Over almost three decades, Adfinis has built a stellar reputation within the open source community and with organizations looking for sovereign, secure IT solutions. As someone deeply invested in open source technologies, it's exciting to become part of their journey in further establishing the company as a key global partner. I look forward to working closely with the entire Adfinis team on further fostering collaborative partnerships, transparent operations, and a strengthened market presence that drives our shared vision forward."

Broader structure

The leadership change is part of Adfinis's effort to operate under a more unified global structure. Internally, the group has presented this approach as "One Adfinis", aiming to bring leadership and delivery teams across the DACH region into closer alignment.

Adfinis operates in Switzerland, Germany, the Netherlands, Australia, New Zealand and Egypt. It serves customers worldwide across consulting, planning, engineering and managed services built around open source technology.

The company also cited partnerships with GitLab, Red Hat and SUSE as part of its market position. Its work spans the IT lifecycle, from strategy and implementation to ongoing support.

Michael Moser, Chair of the Board and Chief Strategy & Growth Officer at Adfinis, also acknowledged the outgoing executives. "We are thrilled to welcome Felix to lead our Adfinis GmbH team. Germany is a vital market for us, and as we deepen our 'One Adfinis' structure, Felix's expertise will be key to driving scalable growth and delivering maximum value to our customers. I would like to personally thank Ralf Scharly and Sascha Zimmer for their work during their time with Adfinis GmbH over the last couple of years. Everyone who has joined the Adfinis journey at one point or another has helped shape the company to what it is today - for that, we are grateful, and I wish Ralf and Sascha all the best for their future endeavors," he said.

The appointment links a management transition with Adfinis's broader effort to bring its regional operations closer together under a single structure while maintaining delivery across existing customer projects in the DACH market.
